Use 1 tablet for every 10kg bodyweight Drontal dog wormer can be used for puppies from 2 weeks of age. Adult dogs should be wormed every 3 months to control roundworm and tapeworm and we also recommend that you regularly apply a long lasting spot on flea and tick treatment like Frontline or Effipro Don’t forget the flea control! Fleas are often infected with the larvae of the Flea Tapeworm, which can be transferred to your dog by swallowing the flea while grooming. So in order to control worms, you also need to control fleas. A spot-on treatment is the easiest way to protect your dog – but choose one that not only kills adult fleas on your pet, but also kills flea larvae in your pet's surroundings, to effectively break the flea lifecycle. If you don’t control a flea problem, worming will be a waste of time, because your dog is almost certain to be re-infected. Do not use Drontal wormer for pregnant or lactating bitches. We would recommend using panacur 10% liquid which can be used in pregnant bitches at 1ml per 4kg bodyweight daily from day 40 of pregnancy continuously to 2 days post-whelping (approximately 25 days). |
